Albania has updated its real estate tax policy to be based on reference prices, which are updated to the real market value of real estate.
Albania charges a property tax, which costs 0.05% of the value of the property.
Tirana consists of 32 areas, and the tax to be paid on the property varies according to the reference price of the area where the property is located.
The building tax is calculated according to the following formula:
Calculation formula = reference price *2 *0.2% * surface area of the property
For example: if you have a property of 20 m2 located in zone 8/3 in Tirana, the annual tax is 5.760 ALL (72.000 ALL *2 *0.2%) * 20)
